For the last few years I’ve had the urge to build a guitar from scratch. Pretty much since I retired (early) 7 years ago. But Ive always resisted that urge.

Reasons for not doing it were many and sensible.

I have no woodworking experience. I have no Luthiering experience or knowledge. I have no tools to work with wood and I have no workshop.

So what has changed to make me decide It’s now time to build my first guitar. Well, absolutely nothing, but its time and I’m going to do it.

In the coming posts I’m going to take you every step of the way, showing you mistakes, successes, failures and victorys until I get this project done. It may take a while.
